MOTHER NATURE'S CRADLE

18" TALL X 36" WIDE

SAA MUSEUM SHOW

The Pine Nut Herd is one of my favorite wild horse herds in CA/NV high Sierras. My last visit was in early summer and the two foals that were produced despite the volunteer effort to dart them with birth control were just beginning their lives. This little guy was being shaded as well as being kept in one spot for management. The way the whole group of mares worked together to raise the few born to them was spectacular to watch. It totally warmed my heart.
